Chris Meer is an Associate on the Investments team, where he screens and underwrites new opportunities and supports due diligence. Chris was drawn to real estate for its tangibility, cash flow, and the inefficiency of private markets, where doing more work than the next buyer actually gets rewarded. His approach to underwriting starts with a simple question: what has to go right for this deal to work, and what happens if it doesn't. He looks for investments that protect capital first, where the basis makes sense, the assumptions are conservative, and the downside is covered before the upside is counted.
